This research aimed to explore the evolution of Bahrain's urban fabric by applying urban analysis tools, specifically focusing on Isa Town’s housing from the 1970s to 2017. The study documented architectural developments during this period, tracking how housing structures transformed in response to shifting societal needs and urban growth. By mapping changes in design, materials, and layout, the research provided a comprehensive understanding of how Isa Town’s housing evolved over nearly five decades.
Additionally, the research examined the spatial relationships between housing units, delving into how these spaces interacted with one another and their surrounding environment. This analysis revealed the ways in which social, cultural, and urban dynamics shaped the arrangement and usage of residential spaces. By studying the adaptation of these units over time, the research offered valuable insights into how urbanization and cultural shifts influenced the design and function of housing in Isa Town.
